Educational Qualifications
- Junior Engineer (JE): Three-year Diploma in Engineering or B.E./B.Tech degree in relevant engineering disciplines (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, IT, Computer Science, etc.) from a recognized University or Institute.
- Depot Material Superintendent (DMS): Three-year Diploma in Engineering in any discipline from a recognized University/Institute.
- Important Note: Candidates awaiting the final results of their prescribed educational/technical qualifications are not eligible to apply.
RRB JE Selection Process
The recruitment process for RRB Junior Engineer involves four sequential stages:
- 1st Stage Computer-Based Test (CBT 1): A screening test consisting of 100 objective-type multiple-choice questions (MCQs) covering Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, and General Science.
- 2nd Stage Computer-Based Test (CBT 2): Tests discipline-specific engineering knowledge, computer basics, environment, and general science with a total of 150 marks.
- Document Verification (DV): Candidates qualifying CBT 2 are shortlisted for original certificate verification.
- Medical Examination: A comprehensive medical fitness test conducted in Railway Hospitals to ensure post-specific physical and vision fitness.
Note: There is no interview round conducted for the RRB Junior Engineer post. Final empanelment is purely based on CBT 2 merit subject to clearing DV and medical standards.
