c. Personality Test (Interview)
Candidates who qualify in the Main examination will be called for a Personality Test (Interview). The Personality Profile of the candidates will be placed before the Interview panel. The Personality Test will be non-qualifying in nature. However, appearing in the Personality Test will be mandatory for being eligible for appearing in the Interview process.
MARKS OBTAINED IN THE ONLINE MAIN EXAMINATION ONLY WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR SHORTLISTING FOR PERSONALITY TEST & INTERVIEW AND ALSO FOR FINAL MERIT LISTING.
  • Interviews will be conducted at select centres. The centre, address of the venue, time & date of Interview will be informed to the shortlisted candidates in the call letter.
  • The total marks allotted for Interview are 100. The minimum qualifying marks in interview will not be less than 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates).
  • The relative weightage (ratio) of Online Main Exam and interview will be 80:20 respectively.
d. Penalty for Wrong Answers & Cut-off Scores
  • Penalty for Wrong Answers: Applicable to both Online Preliminary and Online Main Examination. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty. If a question is left blank, there will be no penalty.
  • Cut-off Score: Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each test of Online Main examination and also a minimum total score to be considered to be shortlisted for personality test and interview.
  • Scores Normalization: The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in different sessions (if held) will be normalized using equi-percentile method. Scores up to two decimal points shall be taken for calculations.
e. Guidelines for Scanning and Upload of Documents
Before applying online, a candidate will be required to have a scanned (digital) image of the specified documents adhering to the requirements listed below:

20 KB – 50 KB On a white paper with black or blue ink. If a candidate does not have left thumb, right thumb impression may be used.
Hand-written Declaration • File type: jpg / jpeg
• Dimensions: 800 x 400 pixels in 200 DPI (10 cm * 5 cm)
50 KB – 100 KB Written in English clearly on a white paper with black ink. Text NOT IN CAPITAL LETTERS. Must be in candidate’s own handwriting.
SSC/SSLC/10th Standard / Certificate Document must be in PDF format

Max 500 KB Scanned documents should be clear and readable.
The text for the hand-written declaration is as follows: “I, ______________ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”
f. Do’s and Don’ts of Photo Capture
Dos Don’ts
  • Ensure the photo is captured against a light coloured, preferably white background.
  • Ensure there is adequate light.
  • Look straight at the webcam/camera.
  • Photograph should be of passport size.
  • Small size photograph not to be clicked/uploaded.
  • Coloured glasses or sunglasses/Cap should not be worn.
  • Shadow on face / not facing the camera / distorted face / face covered with mask / blurred image.
  • Photo not to be taken in dark / improper background.
g. Critical Instructions for Online Application
Your Online Application will not be registered unless you upload your Photograph, signature, left thumb impression, hand written declaration, and educational certificates as specified.
  • In case the face in the photograph / signature / left thumb impression / hand written declaration is unclear, smudged or blurred, the candidate’s application may be rejected.
  • Candidates should ensure that the signature uploaded is clearly visible and Signature / Hand written declaration in CAPITAL LETTERS shall NOT be accepted.
  • Candidates must ensure that the Photo to be uploaded is of the required size and the face should be clearly visible. If the photo is not uploaded at the place of photo and signature at the place of signature properly, the candidate will not be allowed to appear for the exam.
  • After registering online, candidates are advised to take a printout of their system-generated online application forms for record keeping.
